Reserve Label offers Lindemans drinkers enhanced quality at an attractive price.
The 2002 Lindemans Reserve Chardonnay comes primarily from the Padthaway region (78%), where the fruit ripened slowly throughout the season providing intensely flavoured fruit with natural acidity and aromatics. Its peach and melon characters are further enhanced by a hint of cashews, resulting from lees contact and French oak aging.
The 2001 Lindemans Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from premium regions throughout South Australia with significant proportions from Padthaway, Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale. The wine was aged for nine months in new and used French and American oak barrels. The cool-climate Cabernet fruit provides aromas of dark berry, tobacco.
The wine is medium to full bodied with an excellent balance of blackcurrant fruit flavour, complexity and sweet chary oak. It has excellent length and structure, derived from high quality fruit.
The 2001 Lindemans Reserve Shiraz has an intense aroma packed with blackberry fruit, liquorice and spice. Being aged for nine months in both French and American oak barrels adds a hint of sweet, toasted cedar. Rich, deep, blackberry fruit flavours and spices combine in a medium to full-bodied palate. The Lindemans Reserve Shiraz has a youthful vibrancy but is in no way overpowering. The majority of the fruit for this wine was sourced from Padthaway, Eden Valley and McLaren Vale.
